About Us

The Afro-Asian Advisory Service was established in 1978 in order to assist East-African Asians who came to the United Kingdom as [evacuees] in 1972. The organisation has since expanded and we assist people of all nationalities and deal with all aspects of immigration.

We are based in Camberwell in the Borough of Southwark, and we offer our services free to anyone in the UK and internationally. We hold a Legal Services Commission franchise with a Specialist Quality Mark. We are funded by the LSC, the Borough of Southwark, the London Councils and donations.

Since the organization began in 1978 it has helped more than 35,000 people to acquire indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom or British citizenship. AAAS is the only not for profit organization to provide telephone advice service directly to 25 to 35 clients a day between 2-5 pm Monday to Friday.
